This is a very nice Mannlicher Schoenauer rifle (actually carbine) in 8x56mm MS caliber (.323 grooves, .315 lands), very good bore. It has a 19.7" barrel, full stock, cheek piece and checkering. It also has double set triggers and sling swivels. Inscribed on the left front of the receiver is "Hamilton Bryan - U. S. Navy", and mid receiver is "Gesterr.Waffenfabr.-Ges.Steyr". The serial number is on the right front of the receiver. Barrel sights are original, and there is a scope dovetail cut in the front top of the receiver with a mounting screw hole (plugged with a screw) on the left rear of the receiver. The steel butt plate is serrated horizontally and has a trap, which when opened, reveals three holes. Two are for cartridges and the third houses a four section cleaning rod. Each section is 6 and 7/8" long. This is a fine German rifle in great shape. We can take VISA or MasterCard for an additional 2% fee.
