The P229-22 gives you the best of both worlds—cheap practice with inexpensive .22 LR ammo, and certain defense with full-power center-fire loads in the chambering of your choice. It's also the perfect platform for beginners, who can develop their basic grip and trigger-stroke skills with no-recoil .22 ammo, then convert to center fire. Frame and slide are finshed in black Nitron, and the trigger system is the P229 standard DA/SA with decocker. The included .22 LR slide features 3-dot sights with fully adjustable low-profile rear.
