Unique conversation piece here! I am 99.6% sure that this is a model 71/88 in 11x52mm BLACK POWDER. The .04% in question is because of the 2600 stamped on the side below the 1884. All serial numbers match. The pictures accurately show the condition of the metal. I have not touched this gun other than to hold a wall up in my gun room. I have not cleaned and certainly haven't attempted to shoot it.
The 20" spike bayonet goes with it. When attached the rifle stands at 6' tall. As you can tell by the picture, there is a crack in the stock forward of the magazine on both sides.
I will only accept USPS money orders.
All of the items I have listed are from my personal collection. Some were my favorite shooters while others have just sat lonely in my safe waiting for me to get to them. I will not sell any firearm without knowing the condition of the bore and I will not sell a gun without cleaning the bore (again). I am selling many guns and some still have the cosmoline on them from many years ago. Should the item you purchase be in this condition, I will happily take it apart and clean it if you wish. I am leaving the cosmoline on them, because it gives some peace of mind knowing it’s still on there (like me).
I am slowly getting items listed so please continue to check back. Please contact me if you have any questions.
