This scope came to us mounted on its only home, a Browning Safari Mark II 7mm caliber Rifle. Here is a Leupold Rifleman 3x9 variable with 40mm Objective lens and Duplex Crosshairs. From its T suffix serial number, the scope was manufactured in 2008, the year of production of its only home, the parent Browning. Manufacturer, of course, is Leupold & Stevens of Beaverton OR. Construction is aircraft grade aluminum alloy. Finish is black matte with factory Gold lettering and ring on the objective bell. Specs are Variable Power Rifle Scope, 1 inch Tube, 33 mm eyepiece with 4.2 inches of eye relief on 3x; 1 inch tube proper that measures 5 1/8 inches from the edge of the objective bell to the adjustment ring; 12 1/4 inches overall length; duplex crosshairs; 1/2 minute click adjustments for windage and elevation; 12 ounces weight; field of view 22.8 feet at 100 yards on 4 power and 11 feet on 12 power. Surface detractions are negligible, we have not removed the medium height rings. We rate it as Excellent, 95 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent Mechanically. Lens coatings, and mechanics are excellent throughout. This Leupold’s exclusive owner, a bright young McNairy County kennel keeper. He has more sense than to wipe a scope lens with his shirt tail. Rings are blue 1 inch Torx Head Leupold, medium height, and they give plenty of clearance on the parent BAR and most other rifles. One a one piece Leupold Browning base, neither ring will need to be moved, leveling is excellent as they are. Replacement pricing on the scope and mounts exceeds $300 in our area.
