Here is a pristine specimen of the model 100ATR bolt action in matte blue with Mossy Oak Break Up® camo synthetic stock, Weaver 51S and 36 Scope Mount Bases, and 22 inch fluted barrel, chambered for the tried and true .30-06 cartridge. Manufacturer is O.F. Mossberg & Sons of New Haven, CT, with service facilities in Eagle Pass, Texas. Type is bolt action high powered rifle. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, and receiver with polymer trigger housing, and removable internal polymer magazine. Chambering is .30-06 Springfield Caliber, with 4 shot magazine, so 4+1 total capacity. Barrel is 22 inch medium Fluted, 1:10 right hand six groove button rifling and counterbored recessed muzzle crown. Metal finish is non glare matte blue, with matching bolt face, handle, and gas deflecting cowl; and with white steel bolt body. This rifle comes furnished with mounted Weaver Scope Bases, that measure 4 1/4 inches between their closest slots, so 5 inches or more of scope tube with no extension rings needed. Safety is very quiet, mounted on the right side behind the bolt handle. Stock is classic graphite based camo synthetic, with integral sling swivel eyes. Length of pull is 13 3/8 inches from the trigger face to the end of the 1 inch decelerator type recoil pad. Weight empty is 6 pounds 12 ounces, with center of gravity at the stock bolt. Trigger is factory LBA type, set on its 3 pound vicinity off the line setting, with negligible felt creep. This specimen served light duty as a showgirl for Mossberg’s sales team, on the road with a sales rep or in trade shows like the annual SHOT show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are minimal, principally faint contact marking on the stock and barrel. We rate this Mossberg ATR as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. If this rifle was ever fired, it was no more than 20 times. Only 1 in 10 of its mates showed any green copper on our cleaning patches.
