From one of our fellow aging boomers comes this superb Remington Nylon 66 rifle, Mohawk Brown variant, manufactured in July of 1964 from its OL Barrel Date Code. Its exclusive owning family are hardworking proud country folk from Lawrence County in Middle Tennessee. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint amounts of superficial scouring on the stock. Metal is pristine. We rate this Nylon as strong Very Good, perhaps even Excellent condition specimen, since no more than 10 to 15 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate. It is certainly excellent mechanically; from our knowledge of its owners and from its condition, we estimate it has been fired fewer than 10 boxes of shells in its entire life. Bore, chamber, magazine rod, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Specs are semi-auto tube fed rimfire rifle, 14 + 1 capacity of .22 Long Rifle High Velocity ammunition, fed through the buttstock; top tang safety and blowback action. Weight empty is 4 pounds. This is, by the way, the most accurate rimfire automatic ever made. We know of several instances where they have outshot better grade bolt actions.
