Now, with the LCR Revolver, Ruger has become the first producer of a polymer frame wheel gun. At only 13 ounces empty, it weighs the same as the S&W M&P Air Lites, and a full two ounces less than the Airweight .38 +P Smith & Wessons. The pressure-bearing surfaces are alloy, and the entire piece follows Charter in being a two-component frame, with pronounced visible separation lines. The cylinder is gun metal gray and we are unclear on its exact metal constitution. Here is what Ruger says about their latest invention.
