Description: This item is from a collection of a dozen handguns from a retired older gentleman that we've recently taken in. All of the guns are in excellent condition - well cared for and enjoyed over the years.

An unusual one is this EARLY ISSUE SMITH & WESSON MODEL 60 all-stainless J-frame .38 5-shot revolver. Excellent cosmetics; very few handling marks - would rate about 95% easily. Stock grips have been replaced by a lumpy Pachmayer (but would look teriffic with a smaller Boot grip or a Crimson Trace).

All chambers and bore are bright and clean. The stock trigger has been replaced by a TARGET TRIGGER! So the double action pull is relatively light - but the single-action trigger is perfect! Target quality - breaks cleanly.

This is an "R" prefix serial number - a very early issue gun. The 2' barrel is PINNED. It's a collectible Model 60 - and a fine .38 Special for any purpose. Beautiful to hold - or carry. No box or papers.
