LG0423 From its original family home in Vanderbugh County, Indiana, comes this solid attractive Olin Winchester Model 24 Side-by-Side 12 gauge. Its low 45200 range serial number identifies it as one of the last Model 24s made in 1946. The 24, of course, enjoyed only a brief run from 1939 until 1954. This specimen is full and original, with a Pachmayr brown 325 recoil pad professionally installed by an Evansville Gunsmith who left the length of pull at its original 14 1/4 inches, measured from the face of the right barrel trigger to the end of the pad. Barrels are 30 inches, 2 3/4 inch chambered, with .698 Full Choke Left Tube and wider than normal .720 Modified right tube. Ejection, of course, comes through the model 24’s distinctive pair of extractors, one for each chamber at 6 o’clock. Surface detractions are only moderate, with browning and whitening on the receiver’s lower edges and sides; elsewhere principally edge whitening. Forend exhibits a hairline crack between the receiver and the nearest screw, but with no separation. Walnut buttstock and forend finish wear is only moderate as well. We rate this Model 24 as Very Good, 75 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically. We find no pings or dimples in the barrel surface anywhere, and bore, chamber and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We’re offering this pheasant-slaying Indiana Model 24 Winchester for only $ 589.00.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $50 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
