Here is an early specimen of the North American Arms Mini Revolver chambered in .22 Short. This NA-S-22S, our guess at the product code, has no prefix to its 34,000 range serial number, and it is a First Year of Production Provo Mini. The company moved from Newbury Park, CA, to Provo, Utah in 1978. All the North Americans that we received new in 1979 had B Prefixes. This revolver has been where it was meant to be, in one civilian’s pocket, for most of the past 30 years. It has extensive carry scuffing to its stainless finish, and its grips are wood, probably 1980s replacement. Our photographer’s 1980 B prefix North American lasted almost 30 years before he had to replace its grips. We rate it as Very Good finishwise, but photos should suffice for prospective custodians to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Bore, cylinder chambers and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent; and the cylinder times correctly in all five positions. Barrel length, of course, is 1 1/8 inches; and construction is entirely stainless steel. Weight empty is just a hair over 4 ounces.
