Description:
According to its BNR serial number prefix, this .357 Military & Police Heavy Barrel Stainless was manufactured in early 1993. It is one of the last fully traditional model 65 Smith & Wessons manufactured, since the square butt grip frames began phasing out the following year. Note the Satin Stainless hammer and smooth .312 Satin Stainless Combat Trigger. This is a service revolver, of course, and it has normal surface detractions. There is light scouring and scuffing on the side plate and forward edges of the frame, as well as some on the trigger guard edges and underside. These are light and inconspicuous, however. Muzzle area has a moderate peck at 5 o'ckock about ¼ inch back of the muzzle, and light scouring on the left side of the muzzle. The matte area atop the frame and barrel, however, are almost full strength with no more than 10 percent buffed spots by our estimate. Replacement Pachmayr SK/L grips are appropriate for any 1980s or early 1990s K frame Stainless. We rate this revolver as a strong Very Good, but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is minimal, and only amounts to carbon deposits across half that surface with no signs of cutting at all. Lateral play to the cylinder is negligible with the trigger relaxed, and there is absolutely no movement at all with the trigger pulled all the way. Double action trigger pull is tight but consistent, and the hammer travels fully 10 degrees or more in all six positions on double action. On single action, the hammer travels a full 30 degrees on all six after the cylinder times, and the single action trigger pull is a tight but crisp 4 3/4 pounds. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a perfect .006. This is a very attractive Model 65-4. Its surface detractions are few and far between, and none of them readily conspicuous. It is in better mechanical condition than some of its brand new descendants. We're offering it for only $ 419.95 Not for sale to California or Massachusetts Destinations.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
