This is a slicker made pistol with more features than the Rock Island. Finish is bright blue flats with matte blue vertical surfaces, following after the XSE series from the Colt. Sights are Novak style 3-dot combat. Hammer and trigger are Commander skeleton style with reinforced interior on the hammer and overtravel adjustment on the serrated trigger. Slide stop and Right Hand Shooter safety are both extended; and the pistol sports a Beavertail Grip Safety. Magazine is Italian ACT-Mag brand, made in Italy, all steel 8 shot. Grips are double diamond Filipino domestic hardwood with cut checkering, much more attractive than the plain Jane APIs. This pistol is all steel construction, 5 inch barrel, polished chamber throat, and weighs 39 3/4 ounces empty. Named Model is American Classic II, Government Model.
