Has 30” barrels with original sights, german silver front and distinctive rear. Marked Pieper Patent April23,1881 on the rib. Marked on the forend , receiver and barrels 12 44 #20354 matching. Also has a Belgian proof marking They must have bought there barrels from Belgium. Has back action lockplates both marked H Pieper. Metal overall has a dark aged brown patina finish with the receiver having a case color turned nickel finish. Has a couple spots of very fine pitting.
