This is a custom engraved and checkered Model 71 Winchester, originally a standard, short tang, rifle, made in 1956 (serial number 43xxx). It is virtually 99% in it's custom refinished state. It is fitted with a Lyman 66A receiver sight and rear barrel sight blank. The engraving is good quality, very full coverage, with an engraved, silver inlaid grizzly bear in the right side of the butt stock. The borderless checkering is well executed and sharp. The gun came from the east coast and the engraver is unknown. The pictures speak for themselves. The gun has been well greased with old fashioned gun grease (most of the visible surface has been wiped clean), and shows no rust or pitting whatsoever. We take VISA and MasterCard for an additional 4% fee. Will also consider trade for U.S. gold and silver coins at spot.
