Parent rifle to this set of genuine Redfield Blue Steel mount and rings was a G1215000 number ranged model 70 XTR Olin Winchester Rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum caliber. That rifle was manufactured in late 1975, so we date these scope mounts to 1976. Surface detractions are minimal, certainly no stress indications to any of the 7 allen type mounting screws. We classify this set of rings and its base as excellent condition, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Manufacturer, of course, was Redfield Optical Company of Jewell, Colorado. Construction is entirely bright finished blue steel. This Redfield 1 piece JR series base will fit any Winchester Model 70 rifle chambered in a long action caliber, including .25-06, .270, .280, 7mm Magnum, .300 Magnum, or even .375 H&H Mag or .458 Mag. It will not fit a short action model 70; will not fit any model 70 chambered in .223, .22-250, .243, 6mm, 7x57 Mauser, .308 Winchester, or .348. It will not fit any other rifle or action except a long action model 70. Rings are low height; distance is .135 inches from the bottom of their curve to the bottom of the flat. They held a 32mm objective scope without interfering with the model 70’s fold down rear sight. They will hold up to a 40mm objective scope, but not without removing the rear sight if you rifle even has a rear sight. Note that the ring screws are bottom access. These are the older type, manufactured up to the mid 1980s. They’re annoying to install, but they certainly are attractive on any rifle. They are period correct for Winchesters manufactured from the late 1960s up until about G2000000. Replacement pricing for a Leupold current production combination base and rings like this is upwards of $90 per set in our area. We’re offering this complete set, however, for only $ 49.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Grips, Magazines, slings, holsters, scopes, mounts, parts & most any small light items, entire accessory orders only $10.00 total shipping no matter how many a person buys. $10.00 for an entire order, Not $10.00 per item or anything of the sort. $20 Flat Fee on magazine orders to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, and gun parts to PR civilians must ship to an FFL.
