Weatherby FN Mauser .300 Weatherby Magnum serial 10770 (1960). Barrel is 24 inches long and not drilled/tapped. Action drilled/tapped for Redfield base (included). Satin-finished stock has 13.5 LOP and has an enlarged checkering pattern/coverage that may indicate upgrade or special order. Glass bedding, Weatherby's pad, pistol grip diamond and ebony forend tip. Originating from a large estate, the history of this rifle is lost. Metal finish is about 90% overall, with only light evidence of use/storage on barreled action. The floorplate finish is thinning and generally freckled, and the muzzle appears not have been finished after crowning and lightly pitted. The stock has two hairline cracks at the tang (one on top and the other on bottom) that have been repaired and stabilized by a professional gunsmith, and there is a tiny chip from the channel just behind the rear screw (on top). Otherwise, only slight indications of handling and storage are apparent. Price firm. Photo package by request. Layaway considered. Shipment only to dealers who accept from a private party.
