I have for sale a 2003 Production Springfield Armory GI .45. It has the original box and all paperwork, and is in excellent condition. Just a little finish wear in the high areas. This was SA's attempt at a WWII clone, but I took it a step further and made it all correct. All cast parts have been taken off and replaced with forged parts. All of the wrong parts were replaced with GI WWII parts, to include the trigger, recoil spring plunger, mag catch, thumb safety, slide stop, Remington Rand hammer and mainspring housing, later GI issue grips, and Vietnam era GI chrome lined barrel. Rear sight notch has been slightly widened for a better sight picture. Has National Match size fitted barrel bushing as well. The FI Brazil markings on the bottom of the dust cover has been removed and whole gun reparkerized. Nice medium/dark gray color. Has all new Wolff springs. Slide stop, thumb safety and mainspring housing are all serrated, hammer and mag catch are checkered. 9mm/.38 Super titanium firing pin has been replaced with correct fitted GI .45 firing pin. Also had trigger job done; butter smooth with very little creep or take-up and breaks at a little over 4 lbs. Comes with 1 factory magazine. Gun runs flawlessly and is 100% reliable and a match grade tack driver. Absolutely identical to a WWII gun with the exception of the markings. Asking $695 OBO. Please feel free to e-mail me with any and all questions or for more pics. Thanks for looking.
