Harrington & Richardson shotguns are by no means a rarity, but not many of them wound up with The Marlin Firearms Co, New Haven CT stamped on top of their barrels, and with KM prefix serial numbers signaling their K-Mart market destination. Here is one of those briefly made shotguns, early 1980s by our best estimate. Actual manufacturer was Harrington & Richardson of Gardner, Massachusetts. Type is break open Single Shot with short breech release lever mounted by the hammer and ejector. Construction is blued steel barrel, Case colored receiver, hot blued spur hammer and trigger, hardwood buttstock and forend, and black polymer forend spacer and trigger guard. Barrel measures its original 25 1/2 inches with .399 muzzle diameter Full Choke barrel with plain brass bead sight, marked full above the chamber area. Caliber is .410 gauge, 2 1/2 or 3 inch chamber. Overall length is 40 7/8 inches; and it has a very adult 14 inch length of pull from the trigger face to the center of the butt plate. Buttstock cants to the right about 1 inch at center, so this .410 will not be southpaw friendly. Weight empty is a well balanced 6 1/2 pounds with center of gravity under the breech pin. This little shotgun comes to us from its original owner who bought it new at the Jackson Tennessee K Mart 30 years ago. Surface detractions are only moderate, small pecks on the wood and inconspicuous occasional freckling on the metal surfaces. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. This shotgun was never fired more than 100 times. We’re offering this distinctive little Marlin / H&R .410 Single Shot for only $ 169.00.

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
