Photos show a specimen of Smith & Wesson's Military & Police Pocket Rocket, the MP 40 Compact. This is the MP40C, Smith & Wesson’s answer to the Glock 27 Subcompact. Specs are as follows. Weight empty, no magazine, is 21.7 oz; weight fully loaded will be a bit over 30 ounces. Overall length is 6.7 inches; 5 1/2 inch height; and very nice thin 1.2 inch width. Barrel length is 3 1/2 inches with a 5 3/4 inch sight radius. This pistol, like all M&Ps, is full time double action, striker fire action, with a very consistent 6.5 pound trigger pull that only travels .300 inches from rest to fire and resets in only .14 inches. Frame is Zytel Polymer, and barrel and slide are Black Melonite finished stainless. The frame, as the photos show, incorporates a Picatinny Weaver type rail for light and laser mounting. This variant, 109303, does not have an internal lock or a magazine safety. It can fire, then, with only a single round in the chamber even if there is no magazine in battery. The M&P series takes all comers for ease of handling, positive feel, and reliability and consistency under the most adverse field and combat situations. M&P series has a fully ambidextrous magazine release setup; it is as easy to switch sides on it as a Beretta 92. Magazine capacity is 10 rounds of .40 Smith & Wesson caliber ammunition, and each MP40C comes with a total of two magazines, one flat plate floorplate and one finger rest type. It also has two replacement grip back straps that will alter the grip circumference. This variant and its Glock 27 competitor command retail prices in our area of $600 or more. We're offering the Smith & Wesson M&P40C in the photos, however, or one of its identical mates for only $ 469.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
