With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This Model 21, sn8197 made in 1938, is a Deluxe Grade Field gun. Winchester made its Deluxe Grade with special attention to metal polishing, fit and finish, special attention to choke and chambers, nicer figure in the wood, a Deluxe 3 point checkering pattern at the wrist, fancy checkered forend wood with ebony insert in the forend tip, jeweled surfaces on the forend iron, breech face, and barrel flats, all together the best that Winchester could make. The Deluxe Grade was a small portion of the overall production and a special gun to own and use. Stocked with high grade XXX walnut and great shooting dimensions, it is not your ordinary Model 21. With the 30” factory choked M/F barrels it is the ultimate heavy game gun that will fill in fine on the sporting clays course. Metal and wood are all in mint, restored condition. What an extraordinary gun for heavy loads on late season roosters, waterfowl, turkey, and long-range western birds. With RST Spreader loads this gun will shoot like an IC/M gun on the clays course.
