When I purchased this rifle a couple of months ago I did not like the way the wood fit the metal so I called Marlin and they told me to send it back to them and they would take care of it. I did and they did. The wood now fits the metal as well as any pre-Remington Marlin ever did and it has nice grain too. If you don’t think it is as nice as I say you have 3 days to notify me and 7 days to return it to me. I am getting rid of it because of health and medical conditions require I get rid of my big calibers. I also have several boxes of Hornady 45-70 ammo if you are interested in that at a good price.
