Description: Here is a very solid, very attractive Smith & Wesson .38 Special Military & Police Stainess with 4 inch Heavy Barrel manufactured in the Year 1991, from its BHN serial number prefix. It is a fully traditional square butt 64 with Satin Stainless trigger and hammer. It has only moderate surface wear, and it is thoroughly traditional and mechanically sound. Surface detractions are as follows. This revolver had undergone a moderate amount of buffing at some point. There is extensive light pecking across the side plate, and scouring around the forward plate screw where the Department armorer removed the plate for annual cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of the internal parts. Hogue Combat grips are appropriate for the period of manufacture and service. We rate it as a strong Very Good specimen since 80 to 85 percent of its finish is intact by our estimate. Photos, however, should allow interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This Model 64 Heavy Barrel is Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel's forcing cone is negligible, only a faint etchy streak that traverses about 2/3 of the width of the top strap. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and Excellent. Lateral play or wobble effect on the cylinder is minimal, less than 1 mm total, both with the trigger relaxed and with it pulled all the way. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a perfect .007. Double action trigger pull is smooth and consistent, and the hammer travels 10 degrees after the cylinder times into place on double action in all six positions. On single action, the hammer travels a full 20 to 25 degrees after the cylinder times on all six, and the single action trigger pull is a very crisp 3 3/8 pounds. This is an eminently serviceable, attractive, and collectable Model 64 Stainless from the Year of the First Gulf War. Since we do not have its original box, we are including a period appropriate black leather southpaw duty holster. It is the best choice in most defensive situations for homeowners or security personnel. These revolvers are well balanced, simple to operate, and easy to hit a target with, vastly more so that the currently fashionable small handguns on the market. We're offering this fine 18 year old .38 Special for only $ 359.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
