This antique rifle is dated 1884 and remains in good original condition. 32.5” barrel remains very good with age toning, patina. The bore remains very good with minimal wear. Front blade sight damage. No ramrod included. The Trapdoor functions well with a little looseness; Nice original bluing intact. Sideplate marked “US Springfield” and “1873”; Light oxidation wear. Some case coloring remains on rear tang. The original, unrestored stock is good with plenty of field, battle wear. There is a larger chip in the heel. “US” marked buttplate. NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION!
