Here is one of the best known, user friendly, quality holsters ever manufactured, the Bianchi 99A Border Patrol holster to fit conventional Smith & Wesson 9mm Pistols. At its early 1980s manufacture period, the intent was for it to house a Smith & Wesson model 59, 459, or 659; the shortly following 5900 series pistols take the same holster, including models 5903, 5904, 5906 and similar variants with a spur hammer in traditional single-and-double action. This holster will also accommodate similar sized pistols manufactured by Sig Sauer – the models 220 and 226. The 228 will leave some muzzle space, of course. Manufacturer is Bianchi International of Ontario, California; construction is genuine black dyed smooth leather with polymer internal reinforcement plate; suede leather lined interior for diminished wear to blue steel pistols; nickel plated brass and steel strap devices. This holster came to us from a peaceful career with the North Carolina Department of Corrections that ended with a trade in 2007. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, with contact scouring above the barrel track and on some of the edges. We rate it as Very Good, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
