The venerable Colt 1911 Mark IV Series 70 Gold Cup National Match pistol in 45acp caliber. Blued metal, 5" barrel, flat mainspring housing, checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions, wide grooved adjustable trigger, adjustable rear sight, target hammer and rib. Comes with one factory mag, and I'm including one aftermarket mag, a custom leather holster, BoreSnake cleaner, bushing tool, and all original manuals, though there is no box. $1,300 plus $75 shipping/insurance. This was my father’s favorite gun; I am the second owner. Very clean. Low round count - always kept clean and locked up. There is only one scratch, by the trigger. There are also wear marks on the barrel, where the hammer touches the grip safety, and on the sides of the grip safety. These can all be clearly seen on the photos. The bluing is all intact, and there is no rust whatsoever. Serial number is 07830N70. This can be clearly seen on the photo. Colt's online database suggests it was built in 1972, which sounds right, based on when my dad was buying guns. I don't have a definite answer on this, since I haven't been able to match the number exactly. This is a great shooting gun. Well balanced, with a great feel. This would be a very reliable and accurate working gun, or a fine piece for a collector. Truly a classic!
I have a couple of beautiful guns that my father took great care of, and now I do. It's time for them to move on to someone else who can appreciate them as we have.
