Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. It is likely that this revolver has not been fired since it left the factory.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There is a blue “velvet” lined, rosewood stained mahogany presentation box with a rectangular gold colored metal inset on the cover. The inscription on the inset reads “Smith & Wesson / 125th Anniversary Commemorative / 18522 – 1977”. The cover of the box has a few compression marks. The other sides are much the same, with a few dings and marks, except for the back which is still excellent. The box is finger jointed with brass hinges and lock. Sorry no keys. The exterior of the box is in excellent to good condition. There is a pewter colored “coin” with a likeness of Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson on one side and the same S&W logo that has been described on the sideplate. A Commemorative belt buckle is also included. Contained in the lid, held in by leather straps is a book by Roy G. Jenks “125 Years With Smith & Wesson”. This book is in excellent condition.
There were 9948 of this collector’s edition made, all in 1977. It appears that other than some handling, this example has been stored well and certainly can be described as being in Excellent condition.
This is the entire package: medallion, belt buckle,book, locking presentation case NO keys and one beautiful S&W Model 25-3.
