I have a H&R Reising model 65 .22 trainer rifle which was used by the Marine Corps. This rifle was designed by Reising to duplicate the look and feel of the M1 Garand and was only made from 1944-46. The rifle is original throughout. The original finish on both the metal parts and the stock are in very good condition. The bore is shiny and bright and the rifle is very accurate. It has the Redfield receiver sight, military sling, steel buttplate, and five 10 round magazines. The serial number on the rifle is 13##. This rifle is not marked USMC but many of the original training rifles were not marked by the military. I can provide pictures if you send e-mail address.
