Dated 1827 on lock. A nice quality reconversion o flintlock, and an overall better than average piece. Visible cartouche in stock opposite lock and good barrel markings. Metal parts have a medium to dark patina overall with a little pitting in the touch hole area. Stock is very good with an attractive grain, possibly having been lightly cleaned, with a hairline crack from the mainspring tension, and a hairline break in the lock area that was repaired and is free of play.
