Here is a fully traditional Bicentennial Year specimen of the pistol that revolutionized rimfire target shooting. This is an RST-4 Ruger Standard or Mark I .22 LR autoloader made and marked, Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty. This pistol comes to us from its original owner, who turned 21 years old in 1976. It has been carried more than fired, but neither practice will hurt a Ruger. Surface detractions are extensive, with gun metal gray and brown toning on the upper receiver, and extensive graying and whitening on the frame and on the muzzle area of the barrel. We rate it as Good, 65 to 70 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We estimate it has been fired fewer than 10,000 times. As far as specs, type is blowback action semi-automatic pistol. Barrel is 4 3/4 inch tapered, with banded pressed on front sight and dovetailed steel fixed rear sight. Magazine is the original issue 9 rounder MAG-9. Replacement pricing on its Mark III descendants is upwards of $400 apiece in our area. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 259.00.
