Photo shows a well maintained specimen of the world’s best pistol, the Sig-Sauer P226 chambered in 9mm caliber. Factory Order number is P226R. This 226 served with the Swiss State Police in Lucerne Canton during its decade long career. It is not date coded, but from its U700000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 2004. Finish is matte blue Teflon base, something akin to K-Kote. Surface detractions are from normal holster wear, whitening around some of the edges and on the grip frame front strap serrations. We rate it as Very Good finishwise, since we estimate that 80 percent of its original finish is intact. Photos, of course, should permit prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically. Slide contact whitening to the barrel and guide rod is only moderate, and we estimate this Sig has fired between 1,000 and 1500 rounds during its career. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Double action trigger pull is stiff but consistent, and the single action trigger pull is a crisp 4 pounds with no felt creep or overtravel. Classification is traditional double action, double action from the decocked position on the first shot, then single action on subsequent shots during the firing session. The Sig 226, of course, does not have a manually operated safety. It has a decocker lever to put the car in park. Sig has a firing pin block safety that prevents accidental discharge if the pistol is dropped, yet even with that, Sigs have the best single action trigger pull of all from the factory. Caliber, of course, is standard 9mm. Capacity is 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and magazine is factory Sig, made for Sig by Mec-Gar, LE Stamped as they all were during the US Ban period. Weight empty is 34 ounces; finish is black; barrel length is 4.40 inches; and it has the conventional white bar rear and white dot front sights. Sights are dovetailed in night sights, but with little remaining luminosity. This pistol is eminently serviceable and attractive. Replacement price on the 226 is over $900 in our area, if a person can even find one. We're offering this one, however, for only $ 519.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
