antique Belgian Flobert Boy's Rifle 8mm Flobert Rimfire cal. Serial #146X, This has a 28'' two-banded barrel, beechwood stock, and ''(crown)/LG'' proofmarks. This rifle is set up like a civil war musket with a working ramrod. It has a crisp hammer and good trigger. These were essentially parlor rifles. The breech block is still solid and the firing pin is in good condition. I also bought this with the intent to convert it to 9mm rimfire Flobert shot shells but decided to just buy the 9mm Shotgun instead and leave this rifle alone. Condition is very good with very light freckling to blue finish of barrel and bands. Chamber is marked "FL 8m .1.C." Stock shows minor fractures from shrinkage and some oil darkening. Action is good and the bore is fine. I was actually surprised at the condition of the bore on this rifle. This is a pre 1899 mfg. no FFL needed for purchase. I'm new to GunsAmerica but I've been active on Calguns.net for several years and have had great transactions with members there and several thousand non gun related transactions on eBay as well. I am a former FFL and CA COE holder and decided to let my licenses expire back in 1997 when things got too troublesome here in California. If I list any C&R or modern arms, I will ship them from my preferred FFL at Carol Watson's Orange Coast Auctions in Irvine.
