This listing is for ONE pistol with ONE magazine; FFLs or Law Enforcement Agencies, however, may take any number of similar extras at the same per-gun price with no additional shipping charges. From their clear and simple date code, these fine Czech-Made CZ-83 pistols were manufactured in 1992; and they served and protected the good citizens of the Czech Republic, as they prospered in their newly won freedom of the early 1990s. Domiciled agency was the distinguished Municipal Police of Ostrava. CZ firearms, of course, has many decades of manufacturing experience and expertise, and they are among the best firearms in the world; they take no back seat in quality to any Belgian, German, Italian, or even American made firearms. This is CZ’s midsized service or personal protection pistol, the CZ 83, chambered in .32 ACP, labeled 7.65 among our European allies. As European Police Officers have long known, the .32 ACP / 7.65 has superior penetration qualities above all other short-case centerfire pistol calibers. Construction is entirely blue steel; type is traditional double- and single-action semi-auto; 3 3/4 inch Hammer Forged barrel with conventional rifling; weight empty 26.8 ounces; capacity 15 + 1 rounds of .32 ACP ammunition; 3 dot sights with heat-dissipating serrated slide top rib and 5 inch sight radius; maximum height 4.90 inches measured from the top of the rear sight to the floorplate of an in-battery magazine; slide thickness .867 inches; maximum thickness of the glossy polymer service grips 1.38 inches; .397 serrated spur blue steel hammer; .390 smooth face combat steel trigger; extreme overall length 6 11/16 inches. The fully serrated steel ambidextrous safety is elegantly simple; it does not decock, rather, it allows the officer to carry cocked and locked on a single action mode. Double action pull for the first shot is smooth and consistent, and 5/8 inch trigger distance, with shorter distance of 3/8 inch on single action. The extended trigger guard that allows firing with gloved hands also forms the basis for Walther-type simple disassembly; ambidextrous main safety that allows cocked-and-locked carry is fully serrated. Magazine release is ambidextrous, similar to Ruger P-85/95 pistols. PW Arms, Redmond, WA import marks are on the left side of the slide right beside the CZ factory logo and model designation, middle left side, as the photos show. Photos are representative, but show three specimens out of the same batch. Surface wear to these CZ-83 pistols is only moderate, edge whitening with freckles and blue wear on the backstrap and front strap of the grip frame from palm contact. We rate these as Very Good, since no more than 20 percent of their surfaces are affected by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to check our finish grading for themselves. All of these are excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Each comes in its original Department Issue CZ box. Buyer will receive ONE 15 round magazine, but magazines are currently available throughout the United States, thanks to CZ-USA. Replacement pricing on the CZ-83 is $500 or more per unit in our area, if a person can even find one. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
