We are offering a vintage L.C. Smith IDEAL GRADE double barrel shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This is a top break with hammerless ejection.
The gun is in Very Good condition with wear consistent with age. MATCHING SERIAL NUMBERS all around date this gun to a 1916 manufacture date. 26” double barrels retain some of their original bluing, however a majority has given way to a nice brown and grey patina. Barrels read “L.C. Smith ~ Ideal Grade” and “Hunter Arms Co MFRS Fulton, NY”. The receiver is lacking its original bluing but is beautiful with aged an patina. The wood in this gun is nice with signs of age. No major flaws, just some handling wear. VERY SCARCE FORE-END with UNIQUE RELEASE! I have not seen another one like this, but the serial numbers match. Perhaps this was a deluxe upgrade. The muzzles on these barrels are very nice and the bores are bright and shiny. Ejectors present. Double triggers
