This is a Colt Single Action Army revolver shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company, Chicago, Illinois on February 26, 1898, with 19 other guns. It is a Colt Frontier Six Shooter (.44WCF or .44-40), with 7.5” barrel, blue and case with hard rubber grips. The frame case colors are pretty much gone, but the barrel and ejector housing show some original blue, with more in protected areas. Mechanics are perfect (four clicks, three notches all working) and it probably has the best bore I’ve see in a while (at least 9 out of 10). Really a nice gun. This Colt is an ANTIQUE and needs no FFL for shipment.
The holster is not maker marked, but is heavy, carved leather, typical of hardware stores around the turn of the century.
