Production of the model 639, stainless version of the time-honored model 39 Smith & Wesson, began in 1984. From its A800,000 range serial number, this specimen is part of that first year’s production. This is the product code 103702, the original issue 639 with adjustable sights and right-hand-only safety lever. Surface detractions are moderate: scouring to the vertical edges mostly with some professional retouching of the brushed stainless horizontal side surfaces of the frame and slide. Pachmayr grips are new replacement, but period correct for the late 1980s. We rate it as Very Good, about 80 percent finishwise; photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is Excellent mechanically. Bushing and slide contact to the barrel and one-piece guide rod surfaces is moderate, and we estimate that this Smith & Wesson has been fired fewer than 1500 rounds during its entire career protecting and serving our fellow Americans with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department in California. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We are furnishing it with a current production Smith & Wesson factory blue box, manual, and cable lock, as well as two brand new factory magazines. Specs are traditional double- and single-action semi-auto pistol; capacity 8 + 1 rounds of 9mm; 4 inch barrel; .260 serrated hammer and .365 smooth combat trigger, both of them in satin stainless; 1/8 inch serrated ramp front sight with wing-protected windage and elevation adjustable rear sight; first year traditional round trigger guard; weight empty 36 ounces. We’re offering this very attractive, eminently serviceable and collectable Smith & Wesson 9mm Stainless model 639 for only $ 539.95.
Not transferable to civilians in California, district of Columbia, or Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
