Metal surfaces of the barrel, cylinder and the loading gate retain 98% original blue finish with some silvering on the muzzle. The aluminum one piece frame and ejector housing retain 99% anodized blue finish, the trigger is blued and the hammer sides are finished bright. The ejector housing is a Type 4 and thumbpiece is the Type 3 design. This revolver has fixed sights, rolled engraved smooth cylinder and brass anodized triggerguard. The smooth walnut grips with small silver inlaid medallions rate excellent. This 1968 built revolver is a great Variation 6 Bearcat. The Ruger safety transfer bar update has not been completed.
