HG5689 Here is Smith & Wesson’s challenge to one of our favorite handguns ever, the Colt Lightweight Commander. Currently produced Colt CLW’s have lots of attractive custom features, but this Smith & Wesson 1911SC matches and even exceeds its competitor. Type is Single Action semi-auto Government style. For starter’s, Smith & Wesson’s black anodized frame is more durable than the Colt’s coated alloy lightweight frame. While the Colt’s magazine well is beveled, this one has a magazine extension well for rapid reloading under stress. Grips are traditional diamond cut Rosewood with S&W logo in their centers and stainless beveled Torx thread grip screws. The S&W’s trigger is dog paw skeleton white serrated face alloy with overtravel adjustment. This SC’s slide is stainless steel, serrated fore and aft. Sights are dovetailed black Novak rear with dark brass beaded low partridge front. Main Safety is extended ambidextrous; grip safety is anodized alloy beavertail; hammer is skeleton serratedCommbander style; mainspring housing is checkered alloy. One crucial area where this S&W wins the contest with its Colt counterpart is the one-piece steel guide rod that sits underneath the match bushing on the 1911SC’s 4 1/4 inch barrel. Factory product code is 150109, and plenty of other specs are available on Smith & Wesson’s site. With this particular variant, the Colt has won the marketing contest because this variant is discontinued. Its nearest available sibling is the all-black 1911SC, product code 108382. This particular specimen comes to us from one of our friends in Florida, and its surface detractions are negligible. We detect no more bushing and slide contact evidence to its barrel surfaces than any new S&Ws we open up. It is in its original box with all its papers and even its fired brass envelope dated from July of 2006. It has one original S&W factory stamped Italian ACT-Mag 8 round magazine, and we have included another identical ACT-Mag that is not S&W stamped. Replacement pricing on the black SC is $1000 or more in our area, if a person can even find one. We’re offering this eminently serviceable two-tone variant, however, for only $ 839.95. Now transferable to civilians in all jurisdictions of the United States of America. God bless Mr. Otis McDonald and the Illinois State Rifle Association! 2% discount if payment is by USPS Money Orders & not Credit Card.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
