This gun is a 20 gauge Browning Superposed Superlight that has been restocked and custom engraved by Charles Nixon. The wood is done in hand rubbed oil finish with the straight grip. The engraving is Bulino style and is very well done. It has quail on one side, pheasant on the other and a dog holding a pheasant on the bottom. The scroll work is spectacular on the tang and all around the receiver. The bores are spotless with no pitting. The bluing is in very good condition with only minor wear at the tip of the barrels. There are some minor "pressed" type scratches on the stock and one larger scratch on the right side behind the receiver. The scratch is not thru the finish and should be easily repairable. The LOP is 14 3/8". The LOA is 43.5". The gun weighs approx 6.25lbs. It also has Briley thin wall chokes installed. According to the ser.no. it was manufactured in 1969 but I do not know when the redo was done. I bought it from a prominent Dallas gunsmith who had it on consignment in 2006. He has since retired.
