Its only alterations have been improvements very helpful for its use; installation of Williams Fiber-Optic Rear Green Sight and matching Red front sight. Front Sight hood is intact, so this 1894 retains its traditional look very well. The Michaels sling swivel studs are traditional wood screw rear and split band magazine tube mount. This 1894 Marlin has spent a moderate amount of time in the Deer Woods of Western Pennsylvania, and its surface detractions are only moderate. There is a faint amount of whitening on top of the receiver and moderate scouring here and there on the American Walnut buttstock and forend. We rate it as Very Good, eighty percent range by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent; and note that loading streaking to the loading gate is minimal.
