For the past ten years or so, notable manufacturers Remington, Savage, and EAA have put their names on the well built Baikal shotguns made in Russia. Specimen showing of the Baikal model 220 Spartan is from the current importer, USSG, US Sporting Goods, in Rockledge Floria. Type is Side by Side or Double Barrel. Barrels are 26 inch Tubed, with a wrench and a total of 4 choke tubes included: Full choke, modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder bore. Chambering is for 20 gauge shotgun shells, 2 3/4 and 3 inch interchangeably. Construction is entirely steel metal and parts with a classic bright blue Russian finish. Buttstock and forend are nicely grained, satin oil finish European Walnut with cut checkering on the pistol grip and forend sides, and with a semi-Schnabel at the front of the forend. Triggers are smooth faced gold plated. This shotgun cocks its internal hammers with the unbreeching motion, and has extractors, no split double ejectors to sling your hulls across the field or woods. Length of pull is a very adult sized 14 1/8 inches from the face of the right barrel’s trigger to the end of the factory inch-thick recoil pad. Overall length is 42 1/4 inches. Weight empty is 6 pounds 13 ounces with the center of gravity at the forend / receiver junction. Drop is 1 1/2 inches at the comb and 2 1/4 inches at the butt. Sight system is solid checkered serration blue steel solid rib with brass base / white bead front sight. The bead, interestingly, shows its threads, so there should be no problem with losing it. This is a solid, attractive, well made shotgun. We have sold a good many of its other-branded mates locally, and they perform very well in the field and on the range. We’re offering the 20 gauge Baikal / USSG in the photos, or one of its identical mates, for only $ 349.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground with full insurance coverage. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
