This listing is for the exact revolver in the photos; dealers, collectors, and departments, however, may take any extra, virtually identical Taurus 66 demos, that we have on hand, for the same per-gun price and no additional shipping charges. Here is the Brazilian Descendant to, and refinement of, the Smith & Wesson Distinguished Combat Magnum. This is the Taurus Model 66, product code # 2-660069. Its 7 round capacity was as much an influence on the parent Smith & Wesson as an effect from Smith. Manufacturer is Forjas Taurus of Porto Alegre, Brazil; importer is Taurus International of Miami. Construction is entirely stainless steel. Sights are classic Red Ramp front and adjustable White outline rear. More traditional than the 686, the Taurus's barrel lug has a nice smart bevel that brings its styling closer to the Smith & Wesson 66. Satin Stainless .385 Hammer and smooth combat trigger are both closer to classic 1970s S&W configuration, and the patented Taurus internal lock is the least conspicuous of its kind on any revolver. Weight empty is a superbly balanced 43 ounces. Grips are factory Taurus Combat grips, superior in fit, function, and recoil absorption to the Michaels grips that are standard issue on many S&Ws. Capacity is 7 rounds of .357 Remington Magnum or .38 Smith & Wesson Special ammunition interchangeably. This specimen is what we call a factory demo, most likely a sales rep’s sample that served as a showgirl in industry trade shows like the annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Box is marked, Factory Reconditioned. What that means is, Taurus will repair or service it if it ever develops any mechanical problems, but they will Not perform a freebie refinish. It does not need any refinish anyway. Surface detractions are minimal to negligible, really no more cylinder rotation marking than brand new specimens on display in gun shops. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. It comes in its original box with two keys for its hammer lock, instruction manual, protective wrappers, and factory registration papers. It carries the famous Taurus Repair Warranty. Any ammunition or speedloaders showing in any of our photos is not included, it’s just there for math’s sake. With the Smith & Wessons commanding prices upwards of $800.00 apiece, this Taurus 66 Stainless 6 inch full lug 7 shot model 66 is an exceptional value at only $ 419.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
