Description: Up for sale is a used Brooklyn Arms Slocum Sliding Sleeve Revolver (.32 Rimfire). This item has a 3” barrel, engraved brass frame and rosewood stocks. The bore shows some rust and corrosion as well as some very light rifling. The barrel, cylinder and ejector rod show light pitting and freckling in the finish. The Brass frame shows heavy tarnish in some areas, The stock are in good shape with some light scratches and light dings visible, no chips or crack are present. The timing is too fast on 2 of the chambers and a little slow on the other 3, the chamber lock lever seems to function as intended. This revolver seems to function. The sleeves on the cylinder were slid forward to expose the chamber in order to load and unload this unique wheel gun. These were produced between 1863 & 1864 and approximately 10,000 units were manufactured. These revolvers were used by soldiers during the Civil War as backup weapons for self defense.
