Description: More than any other shotgun, the H&R Topper series served most of us as our first gun. Here is a fully traditional New England Firearms company shotgun, a descendant of the classic H&R 088 Topper. From its NA serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1986, the First Year of New England Firearms’s reorganization of the old H&R Company. This specimen comes to us from its exclusive family of owners, distant kin of ours from the Sweet Lips Community in the Forked Deer Watershed Area here in West Tennessee. Surface detractions are moderate, principally weakness to the barrel finish left side, a few scours to the buttstock and freckling to the casehardening on the receiver. We rate it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Manufacturer was New England Firearms, now doing business under its traditional name of Harrington & Richardson. Type is breech loading single shot with transfer bar safety mechanism. Construciton is steel barrel trigger, hammer, receiver, and internal parts with polymer trigger guard, buttplate, and forend spacer. Forend and buttstock are very attractive blond tinted hardwood; length of pull is a very adult 14 1/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the buttplate. Barrel is 3 inch chambered, 25 inch, with .590 muzzle diameter, marked Modified Choke but tighter than many folks’s fulls. We advise against using steel shot for this shotgun. Overall length is 40 3/4 inches; weight is 6 pounds 2 ounces empty, with center of gravity at the breech pin. Stock drop is 1 1/2 inches at the comb and 2 inches at the heel. Buttstock is canted 3/4 inches to the right; that fact, coupled with its right side breech bar, does not make for a southpaw friendly shotgun, without a professional stock alteration. This is a fine little gun, though, as serviceable as it is attractive. By virtue of its 27 some odd years of age, it is collectable. We’re offering this 1986 Topper Descendant SB1 Blond Stocked Pardner for only $ 169.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 flat fee lower 48 states; $60 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, UPS Ground or USPS Priority with full insurance coverage. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
