GUN IS SOLD BY PRIVATE TREATY PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS...
I took this rifle in trade.
It is a 98 Mauser action, drop box, Lothar Walthar barrel, mod. 70 3 position safety, barrel banded one standing and two folding rear sight, sweated on English type sling swivel on barrel and inletted swivel in stock, barrel band front sight and sloted for KDF ( for those that don't care for a muzzle brake it can be cut back an inch and the barrel band remounted at no charge) but its not all that loud. Extremely fine wrap around checkering with mullard borders fore and aft, Silvers pad, European pancake cheekpiece, engraved bolt, two screw metal grip cap bordering checkered wood..D&T for scope, a really nice rust blue, polished and jewelled follower, and rails, The gun shows not to have been shot much, if at all..It appears to have been a closet queen..This gun has all the bells and whistles that you can put on a custom rifle, The wood is exhibition English and I have seen blanks like this sell for up to $2000. I have tested the gun with Hornady factory ammo and it feeds and functions with that ammo and was very accurate with iron sights at 75 yards shooting 3 shot groups of an inch to inch and a quarter with my hand resting on a post....Priced to sell and I'm open to all cash offers...I believe its the least expensive custom 404 Jefferys on the internet today.
