The barrel was properly broken in using the Ed Brown 50-round procedure. It is in excellent condition and looks new with no wear showing. This fine upper was custom built by Carey Custom Rifle Company using a Rock River Arms receiver incorporating a mil-spec bolt and carrier, a cocking handle and a forward assist. Attached is a 24" Shilen match grade stainless steel bull barrel that is fluted and target-crowned and has a 1/10 twist. The barrel is decorated with a round varmint-style handguard and a gas block with a weaver rail. I will include my collection of .204 specific cleaning equipment (brushes/jags/mops/patches/etc.). This upper is very accurate and routinely delivers sub 0.5 MOA groups. The target in the photo was fired at 300 yards and ctc it measures less than .9 inches (0.3 MOA). Absolutely NO lower modifications are required to install this upper. It will mate to any quality Mil-spec lower except some Colts with the large diameter takedown pins. This upper can be shipped to an individual – no need to transfer through FFL. You are responsible to know the laws in your area! I have $925 invested in this upper and I think that the asking price is more than fair, especially when you consider the proper break-in, the limited number of rounds fired, its excellent accuracy, its excellent condition and the cleaning equipment. That said, all reasonable offers will be considered. Also available are about 525 once-fired (in this upper) pieces of mixed hornady and federal brass. Also available are over 960 rounds of factory-loaded Hornady 40gr and Federal 39gr ballistic-tip ammo. The loaded ammo will only be sold either with the upper or after the upper itself has been sold.
