This 1895 Winchester’s serial number, 238xx, dates it to 1899, only the fifth year of production. Quite possibly it saw action during the Spanish American War; at least it was manufactured during that historical context. Metal is, as the photos show, mostly a brown patina with possibly some original bluing still visible on the forward sections of the barrel. Note the alteration to the buttplate where a Blue Grass Hardware red pad was installed sometime around World War II, and the pad dates to that period. Otherwise, the rifle appears to be original. Walnut is good with some indications of an old refinish, probably at the time the pad was installed. Original buttplate screw is still intact atop the rear edge of the buttstock, and length of pull measures 13 1/4 inches from the trigger face to the end of the pad. Buttstock has small edge chip on the forward upper left side next to the hammer, and a larger one on the right side, as the photos show. This rifle is mechanically sound and operates as it is supposed to. Bore is fair, light even encrustation throughout but with prominent uniform rifling. We estimate that for $1,000 or so, this 1895 could be restocked and refinished to a point close to its original finish. We’re offering it for only $ 749.95. Definitely C&R Eligible.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
