This pistol was captured in March of 1945 on the Siegfried line. the G.I. who captured it was a BAR man in the 90th division until the end of the war. The really interesting part about this pistol is that it took some shrapnel to the under side of the slide. This damage is not on the holster indicating that the German had it drawn when the grenade detonated. The G.I. said that he found it while mopping up a pillbox. He shot it a few times and saw that it still shot great so he took it home. The gun is typical late war finish with honest holster wear on various areas. The gun is tight and not loose whatsoever. The Bore is bright and shiney and the neat little shrapnel hole does not interfere with slide movement. It comes with the original Holster marked dla 44 and an original magazine (people have been asking close to $300.00 for these magazines alone). I have some written documentation (NOT capture papers) and after action reports to go along with this pistol to the lucky new owner. LOTS OF DETALIED PICS UPON REQUEST.
