For as long as we have been in business, the best magazines are factory magazines for semi-auto firearms. We only trust one name in aftermarket magazines: Mec-Gar. These work fine in the compacts, but they will obviously protrude, just as a Government Mag works in an Officer Size, or a 5900 Magazine in a 6900 Smith & Wesson. Mec-Gar magazines, write the factory technicians, are constructed from certified carbon steel and feature a heat treated housing and a hi-impact polymer or certified carbon steel follower and floorplate. Replacement pricing on the Factory Taurus Magazines is upwards of $40 apiece in our area; and we think the Mec-Gars are better.
