Photo shows a Saiga 12 gauge shotgun, manufactured by Izmash in Russia, and imported exclusively by U.S. Sporting Goods in Florida. We sold this specimen new in 2011. Manufacturer is The Saiga factory, Izmash of Russia. Importer on this particular specimen is Legion USA, Hallandale Beach, Fl, a still-viable importer who took advantage of the demise of the previous Russian American Armory firm to get into the Saiga game. Type is gas-operated Kalashnikov action semi-auto; caliber 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch magnum interchangeably; 19 inch .720 muzzle diameter threaded barrel with 3 inch chamber; drift / windage adjustable square notch rear sight with black bead front sight mounted only 8 inches away on the gas tube; magazine capacity 4 + 1; black synthetic sporter buttstock with matching checkered-panel forend; permanent sling swivels; milled steel bolt with stamped matte blue steel receiver, trigger guard and barrel; accessory and optics rail equipped receiver, left side; weight empty 7 3/4 pounds with center of gravity near the bolt face area. These shotguns have earned an excellent reputation for reliability and versatility in less than a decade. Factory order number is 170250. Saiga shotguns, of course, have become more scarce in the past few months on well founded evidence that the present administration is preparing to tighten importation regulation in much the same way that the Elder Bush’s Administration moved in the late 1980s. This particular specimen new in 2011 to our favorite local electrician, who traded it in on a Colt Single Action Army revolver and returned to his cowboy roots. Surface detractions are minimal, principally safety lever operation streaking on the right side of the receiver. It is in its original box with all its papers. We rate it as Near Mint in Box, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically, bore, chamber and mechanism are all bright, clean and excellent; and its exclusive owner tells us he fired it fewer than 50 times. Replacement price on this fine shotgun ranges upwards of $900 apiece in our area. We’re offering the exact Saiga in the photos, however, for only $ 689.00. 2% Discount if payment is with USPS Money Order & not Credit Card. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
