Here is as close as most of us will ever come to owning an authentically styled paratrooper stock for the venerable US 30 M1 Carbine. Construction is genuine American Walnut, plain oil GI Finish, and with parkerized steel hardware. All this unit lacks is the barrel band assembly, and those always come with the rifles themselves. It has its recoil plate installed, complete with the nut; it also has its walnut handguard. Those parts are important in some jurisdictions where a Carbine owner is required to have a standard buttstock on the premises. Manufacturer is Kahr AOC of Wooster MA. Overall length of this unit itself is 28 1/4 inches; installed with an 18 inch barreled Carbine, it yields an overall length of 36 1/2 inches, or approximately 26 inches OAL folded, within the legal limits. Factory advises that some fitting may be required; these have already been fitted to factory production carbines, because we pulled them off the rifles themselves. All of them are brand new, but with no factory cartons. Replacement pricing for an original issue paratrooper carbine runs into the four or five figures range.
